Nourish your art and soul on the California Coast in this Carmel-by-the-Sea Watercolor Workshop. Cindy Briggs will demonstrate how to create a watercolor journal incorporating quick sketching, painting, and even some mixed media. Excursions to a variety of locations which may include: Carmel by the Sea, Carmel Beach, Carmel Valley, Big Sur, Mission Ranch, Carmel Mission, local vineyards, etc. Lodging, Meals and transportation is on your own.
Workshop Package includes multiple lessons and demonstrations by Cindy Briggs with personalized instruction, along with bonus: fun bonus poetic writing sessions to incorporate into your journal with writer, composer, jazz singer and creative coach – Carol Frazier. We’ll gather for creative time daily and enjoy dining together in different locations along the way.
Itinerary may change – location’s can vary based on the weather and group dynamics. Possible locations include, Carmel Downtown and at the Beach, Carmel Mission, Big Sur/Napenthe, Monterey, Carmel Valley .We will start at 1:00 on Monday. Most days will be approx. 10am to 4:30 with a lunch break, except for one night as the sun sets.
What: Each day and location are chosen to give you beautiful and enriching environments to write, create, and allow your voice to come through. As creatives, we all need creative time, space and creative energy to write. This retreat is for you if you need to get away, ground yourself, discover and expand your talents, plus still have time for your morning beach walks, a bit of shopping and dining out.

Lodging: I recommend Mission Ranch, La Playa, Coachman’s Inn, Green Lantern Inn, or your choice of many hotels near downtown Carmel for easy access to dining and the beach. Carmel Ranch is lovely, AirB&B, VRBO, B&B’s and nearby campgrounds offer you a range of options based on your budget. Book early for more options.
Flights: There is a Shuttle to the San Jose Airport, or just rent a car and drive down. Monterey Airport is about 30 minutes away from Carmel.
