Paths of Light: Capturing Light and Atmosphere in Landscapes
Capture the glow of backlit trees and the soft pull of distant peaks as you paint a luminous landscape. Whether you’re drawn to the misty grandeur of Yosemite’s waterfall or the quiet drama of trees silhouetted against the sky, these painting sessions explore how to suggest an atmosphere with flowing washes, layered values, and subtle edges. Use the light to lead you into your composition, either painting along with the instructor and provided image or using your own image. If time allows, complete a second painting or study.
