About Amaryllis in Watercolor Workshop:
Amaryllises, whose name comes from the Greek word for “to sparkle,” are a symbol of celebration and beauty during the holiday season. In this festive 2-session watercolor course, artist Cindy Briggs will guide you through drawing an amaryllis using a provided tracing, applying masking fluid to preserve highlights, and layering vibrant washes to bring the flower to life.
Through step-by-step demonstrations and personal instruction, you’ll capture the rhythmic lines, soft folds, and dramatic flair of this stunning bloom. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a vibrant floral painting that celebrates the season and lasts forever.
