One Day Workshop in Port St. Joe with Cindy Briggs

Friday, March 20, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Join artist Cindy Briggs for a special one-day workshop, Poetic Watercolors, as part of the Forgotten Coast en Plein Air Invitational — one of the world’s most prestigious plein air events.

Now in the 21st year of documenting the landscape and culture of the last vestige of authentic “Old Florida.”

Forgotten Coast en Plein Air, America’s Great Paint-out, is among the world’s most prestigious plein air events.
Artistic excellence and the production of investment-quality art continue to be the trademark of this 10-day festival, which brings together artists, collectors, and art lovers for a truly exceptional celebration of plein air painting.

In this inspiring plein air workshop, Cindy will guide you through a day of creative exploration:

  • Morning Sketch Session: Begin with a quick sketch session to ease into the rhythm of drawing and painting intuitively.
  • Watercolor Journaling: Discover a relaxing and rewarding approach to watercolor journaling — ideal for observing your surroundings, connecting with the moment, and expressing your impression of the subject.
  • Plein Air Painting: Shape your design, choose harmonious colors, capture magical light, and paint with a balance of spontaneity and intention.

At the end of the day, we’ll gather to share and celebrate each artist’s unique visual story.

“A master of watercolor storytelling, Cindy Briggs invites viewers into a world of quiet discovery.”
