Leave your hesitation behind and get ready for a simplified, step-by-step method for creating watercolor portraits.
- Learn how to diagram a face by following simple spatial relationships;
- how to mix colors to achieve a range of skin tones; and
- how to layer watercolors to add dimension to facial features and hair.
After this class, you’ll be prepared to tackle watercolor portrait projects on your own.
To ensure an easy start, before the first session students receive a PDF with a tracing of a portrait.
While it is best to paint from the lesson, students can also use an 8-by-10 reference image they’ve drawn in advance, following the example of the tracing supplied.
