Celebrating a Milestone: “Brazilian Blues 8×8” in the NWS-RSW International Exchange Exhibition
Hello, dear art enthusiasts and supporters!
I am absolutely thrilled to share some extraordinary news with you all – my painting, “Brazilian Blues 8×8,” has been chosen to be a part of the highly esteemed National Watercolor Society and Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW) 2024 International Exchange Exhibition. This is an immense honor, and I can hardly contain my excitement as I dive into this exhilarating journey.
The Journey Begins
The email from the National Watercolor Society and RSW was a delightful surprise in my inbox, bearing the incredible news of my painting’s acceptance into the exhibition. This acceptance not only fills my heart with joy but also brings with it a sense of pride for being part of a community that shares a deep passion for the art of watercolor.
A Common Bond of Passion
This exhibition is a remarkable collaboration that bridges artists from different corners of the world – a bond woven by our shared love for the captivating medium of watercolor.
As I reflect on the inspiration behind “Brazilian Blues 8×8,” I am reminded of a moment etched in time. The painting captures a Brazilian woman adorned in her native costume, gracefully hosting our restaurant in the historic old town of Salvador, Brazil. Beyond her vibrant attire, it was her proud confidence that truly captured my attention and became the heart of the artwork.
Gratitude and Anticipation
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who has supported me throughout my artistic journey. Your encouragement and belief in my work have brought me to this point, and I’m thrilled to have you share in this milestone. I can’t wait to take you all along on this journey as we approach the exhibition dates and beyond.
Thank you for being a part of this incredible adventure with me.
Let’s embrace this opportunity to connect with artists worldwide and showcase the beauty of watercolor art on a global stage.
Grateful to you,
Cindy Briggs
